Costa Rica Dec 2005 Pics
I have posted pics from our Costa Rica Trip to a public album on Shutterfly.
I flew out on Dec 25, 2005 from SFO to San Jose Costa Rica, met up with our gang of ten to fly to the little town of Quepos, on the Pacific Coast. We stayed in a rented house between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. We went sailing, rafting, kayaking, as well as spending plenty of time laying around on the beach and flopping around in the warm ocean water. Our open air house included univited guests, like the large iguana that jumped onto the kitchen counter, scared me to death causing me to scream like a little girl (which scared the poor iguana even more). As he thrashed around he managed to break a few dishes before Bridget could get a window opened for his escape. A few times we were visited by the horrifying site of large flying black beetle creatures from hell. They come flying in making a crazy clicking\whirring souund, aiming I think for your hair. I don't mind large fuzzy moths the size of my hand, or the big green leaf cutters, or the katydids, etc....but a large flying crunchy shelled beetle - that's just wrong!!!
We enjoyed walking through town, hanging out on the beach, eating mainly at home but also enjoying the local cuisine. I especially enjoyed our time on the water, sailing w Captain Rum and skipper Robby.
As the Ticans say, Pura Vida!
